Andy Chen’s latest design is a 90mm F-18 Hornet EDF. HDFlyer recently received a sample of this new ARC product (now available in the US at NitroPlanes.com) and we unpacked the box contents to shoot some studio shots of this cool looking new foamy. Notable features include a choice of three different schemes (Jolly Roger, Blue Angels, Red Diamondback), machined suspension struts, servo-less electric retracts with full gear doors (controlled by an included sequencer), both single seat and dual seat canopies, included pilot figure, thrust vectoring, a complete arsenal of under wing and under fuselage armaments, and an installed 90mm EDF power system. We have flown Andy’s smaller 70m version of this airframe and it is still a hangar favorite due to it’s excellent flight performance.
